Anthony DiSimone

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. DiSimone is the Chief Executive Officer of Peak Rock. He has extensive industry leadership experience both as a Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer at Aurora Resurgence and as a Managing Director at H.I.G. Capital/Bayside Capital. He has completed a broad variety of investments in middle market businesses and has served on the board of directors of numerous companies. Previously, Mr. DiSimone was a Manager at Bain & Company, a leading consulting firm, where he led turnaround/performance improvement, merger and acquisition, and strategy engagements for private equity and Fortune 500 businesses both domestically and internationally.

Mr. DiSimone received a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a bachelor of science degree in business administration, summa cum laude, from Boston University.

Steve Martinez

President and Managing Director

Mr. Martinez is the President and a Managing Director of Peak Rock. Most recently Mr. Martinez was a Managing Director of Aurora Resurgence. Prior to that he led the West Coast Private Credit business for Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group and led the San Francisco office of American Capital. He began his career in private equity at H.I.G. Capital in their Miami and San Francisco offices.

Mr. Martinez received a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, where he was a Citibank Fellow, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.

Thibaud Caulier

Managing Director

Mr. Caulier is a Managing Director of Peak Rock Capital Europe. Most recently Mr. Caulier was a Managing Partner of Ponsardin, an independent restructuring advisory firm. Prior to that he was a Principal at H.I.G. Capital Europe. He previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Business Recovery Services group in London and Paris, where he led numerous operational improvements and turnarounds. Mr. Caulier has more than fifteen years in private equity investing, performance improvement and turnaround experience across a broad range of industries. In addition, he has served on the board of directors for numerous companies in Europe.

Mr. Caulier received degrees in Corporate Strategy and Auditing from the Conservatoire National Des Arts et Métiers and Accounting and Finance from the Institut National des Techniques Economiques et Comptables.

Peter Leibman

Managing Director

Mr. Leibman is a Managing Director of Peak Rock. Previously he was a Principal at Aurora Resurgence. Mr. Leibman has focused on making debt and equity investments in middle market companies and has served on the boards of directors of numerous portfolio companies. Mr. Leibman was formerly a Manager at Bain & Company, where he led numerous engagements in operational turnarounds, performance improvement and strategy development for middle market and Fortune 500 clients in North America and Europe.

Mr. Leibman received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Northwestern University.

Robert Strauss

Managing Director

Mr. Strauss is a Managing Director of Peak Rock. Most recently he was a Principal at Aurora Resurgence and previously he was a Principal at Insight Equity. Mr. Strauss focused on making debt and equity investments in a variety of middle market companies at both prior firms and has served as a board member or observer for numerous portfolio companies. Prior to Insight Equity, Mr. Strauss was an Investment Analyst with Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, and prior to Hicks Muse, Mr. Strauss was a Financial Analyst in the investment banking divisions of Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Salomon Smith Barney.

Mr. Strauss received a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jung Woo Choi

Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer 

Mr. Choi is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Peak Rock. Most recently Mr. Choi was a Vice President at the Carlyle Group where he served as Chief Financial Officer for Carlyle Mezzanine Partners and head of partnership accounting for Carlyle’s distressed debt and energy mezzanine funds within the Global Market Strategies group. Prior to that he was at Credit Suisse where he was a controller for one of the DLJ Merchant Banking funds. He also previously spent time at JP Morgan Partners and began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Choi received a master’s degree in business administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tulane University. He is also a CPA in the state of New York.

William Badarak

Associate

Mr. Badarak is an Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup, where he worked on a variety of mergers and acquisitions and capital raises.

Mr. Badarak received a bachelor’s degree of business administration in finance, with honors, from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Carsten Beck

Principal

Mr. Beck is a Principal of Business Development at Peak Rock Capital Europe. Previously, he was a Director at Barclays’ Investment Banking Division in London where he led numerous public and private transactions in the manufacturing sector. Prior to joining Barclays, Mr. Beck was a Vice President with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Frankfurt and New York where he was involved in a range of M&A transactions across various industries. Mr. Beck began his career at McKinsey & Company in Germany.

Mr. Beck received a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Columbia University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ecole Superieure de Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC), France.

Laurent Blumberg

Vice President

Mr. Blumberg is a Vice President of Peak Rock Capital Europe. Most recently Mr. Blumberg was an investment associate at AEA Investors in London, where he focused on investments in middle market companies across various industries. Before joining AEA Investors, Mr. Blumberg was an Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Nomura, where he was involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Blumberg received a master’s degree in financial economics from Erasmus University and a bachelor’s degree in applied economics and mathematics, with honors, from the University of Antwerp.

Jordan Campbell

Vice President

Mr. Campbell is a Vice President at Peak Rock. Previously, he was with McKinsey & Company, a leading consulting firm, where he worked across a variety of industries on operational and organizational improvement initiatives. Prior to joining McKinsey, he was an Associate at Houlihan Lokey, where he was a member of the Financial Restructuring Group. While at Houlihan, he was involved with a variety of both in-court and out-of-court transactions, including complex financial restructurings and distressed mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Campbell received a master’s degree in business administration, with distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.

Xiang-Yu Chen

Senior Associate

Mr. Chen is a Senior Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Analyst at Värde Partners, where he focused on debt and equity investments across a variety of industries.  Prior to joining Värde Partners, Mr. Chen was an Analyst at Evercore Partners where he assisted in numerous mergers, acquisitions and restructuring assignments.

Mr. Chen received a bachelor’s degree in economics, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ryan Fitch

Principal

Mr. Fitch is a Principal and leads business development for Peak Rock Capital. Previously, Mr. Fitch spent nearly a decade as part of the business development team at Platinum Equity where he was responsible for deal origination and managing strategic relationships with corporate sellers, investment banks and other intermediaries across all industries. Most recently, Ryan led the coverage efforts for middle market intermediaries.

Mr. Fitch earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Christina Fok

Director of Finance

Ms. Fok is the Director of Finance of Peak Rock. Previously, she was a Manager at TPG where she oversaw accounting and financial operations in the General Partner Accounting group. Prior to joining TPG, Ms. Fok was a Manager at Hartz Capital and a Business Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Ms. Fok began her career in public accounting at Deloitte.

Ms. Fok received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also a CPA in the state of New York.

Joe Garigliano

Senior Associate

Mr. Garigliano is a Senior Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Analyst at Lazard, where he was a member of the middle market group. While at Lazard, Mr. Garigliano worked on merger and acquisition advisory engagements across a variety of industries. Prior to Lazard, Mr. Garigliano worked in the Transaction Advisory Services division of Ernst & Young.

Mr. Garigliano received a master’s degree in accountancy and bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Mendoza School of Business at the University of Notre Dame.

Heather Hohn

Senior Accountant

Ms. Hohn is a Senior Accountant at Peak Rock. Previously, she was a staff accountant at Aurora Resurgence. Prior to joining Aurora, she held accounting positions focused on financial reporting and analysis.

Ms. Hohn received a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis and a certificate in accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Garret Iden

Vice President

Mr. Iden is a Vice President of Business Development at Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney and Company, where he focused on making control investments in middle market companies. Before joining HKW, Mr. Iden was an Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Iden received a bachelor of science degree in business, magna cum laude, from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

William Kuntz

Principal

Mr. Kuntz is a Principal at Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Principal at Housatonic Partners where he led investments in technology businesses, including the software, digital media, and technology-enabled services sectors. He has served as a board member for multiple portfolio companies. Prior to joining Housatonic Partners, Mr. Kuntz was a Vice President at Vance Street Capital and an Associate with Internet Capital Group and Summit Partners.

Mr. Kuntz received a master’s degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master’s and bachelor’s degree in English from Stanford University.

Jared Mason

Vice President

Mr. Mason is a Vice President at Peak Rock. Previously he was an Analyst at Houlihan Lokey, where he was a member of the Financial Restructuring Group. While at Houlihan, Mr. Mason worked on a number of middle market restructurings and distressed mergers and acquisitions across industry segments.

Mr. Mason received a master’s degree in business administration, from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in finance, with honors, from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Spencer Moore

Vice President

Mr. Moore is a Vice President at Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Vice President at The Riverside Company where he led investments in middle market companies across various industries and assisted multiple portfolio companies with strategic planning and operational improvement. Prior to joining The Riverside Company, Mr. Moore was an Associate at Arcapita and Banc of America Capital Investors. Mr. Moore began his career at Harris Williams where he assisted in executing numerous M&A transactions across a variety of industries.

Mr. Moore received a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in economics and history from Vanderbilt University.

Dylan Page

Associate

Mr. Page is an Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Analyst at J.P. Morgan, where he was a member of the Diversified Industries Group. While at J.P. Morgan, Mr. Page worked on a number of mergers and acquisitions and capital raises across a variety of industries.

Mr. Page received a bachelor’s degree in economics, cum laude, from Williams College.

Mitchell Peoples

Controller

Mr. Peoples is the Controller of Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Manager with Deloitte where he focused on the audits of hedge funds, funds of hedge funds and private equity clients. His clients included leading private equity and investment managers.

Mr. Peoples is a CPA who received a master’s degree in professional accountancy and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Robert Pistilli

Principal

Mr. Pistilli is a Principal at Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Vice President at Halyard Capital where he led investments in middle market companies across various industries and served on the boards of directors of multiple portfolio companies. Prior to joining Halyard, Mr. Pistilli was an Associate at Hampshire Equity Partners. Mr. Pistilli began his career at CIBC World Markets in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group where he assisted in executing numerous public and private transactions across various industries.

Mr. Pistilli received a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in economics and business management from Cornell University.

Matthew Puglisi

Vice President

Mr. Puglisi is a Vice President at Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at Wind Point Partners, where he focused on investments in middle market companies across various industries. Before joining Wind Point Partners, Mr. Puglisi was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions across a variety of industries.

Mr. Puglisi received a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.

Andrew Rich

Senior Associate

Mr. Rich is a Senior Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Associate at The Gores Group where he focused on making investments in middle market companies. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Rich was an Associate at Technology Crossover Ventures where he focused on sourcing and executing technology related investments. He started his career as an analyst in J.P. Morgan’s Technology Investment Banking group.

Mr. Rich received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Yoni Riemer

Vice President

Mr. Riemer is a Vice President at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Associate at Aurora Resurgence, where he focused on making debt and equity investments in middle market companies. Before joining Aurora Resurgence, Mr. Riemer was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, where he was involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Riemer received a master’s degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in economics, cum laude, from Duke University.

Joel Samuels

Mr. Samuels is an Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Analyst at Moelis and Company, where he worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions across a variety of industries.

Mr. Samuels received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Northwestern University.

Ryan Thompson

Assistant Controller

Mr. Thompson is the Assistant Controller of Peak Rock. Previously, he was a Manager with Deloitte where he focused on the audits of publicly traded financial businesses. His clients included leading real estate firms and industrial businesses.

Mr. Thompson is a CPA who received a master’s degree in professional accountancy and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University.

Michael Trainor

Associate

Mr. Trainor is an Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of the Industrial Group.  While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Trainor worked on a number of mergers and acquisitions and capital raises across a variety of industries.

Mr. Trainor received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University.

Justin Wang

Senior Associate

Mr. Wang is a Senior Associate at Peak Rock. Previously, he was an analyst at Credit Suisse, where he was a member of the Investment Banking Division.  While at Credit Suisse, Mr. Wang worked on a number of capital raises and M&A transactions across different industries.
